THE GIVE INC WOMEN’S FUND LAUNCH
Give Inc Women’s Fund launch event at the Community Foundation office in Belfast on July 2, 2o25
CFNI’s Orla Black with Give Inc Women’s Fund’s chair Amanda Ferguson and GIWF members Paula Leworthy and Joanne McNeill
Hello all.
I have been a member of the Give Inc giving circle for nearly a decade.
We are a small group of women pooling out money (at least £1/day) to support mainly women and children in our local areas.
We have been quietly doing our work giving people a boost over the years, with more than £100,000 distributed to those who need it.
In the last year or so I have been chair of the group.
Following a meeting with the Community Foundation Northern Ireland we decided to combine with their women’s fund to create the Give Inc Women’s Fund, and that launched today.
We have new membership options, and the opportunity to make one off donations.
Our £50/month - ‘Gold Donation’ allows you to join an exclusive group of 100 donors, who will have a say on the giving of the group
Our £30/month - ‘Everyday Woman’ is our most popular group. By giving just £1 per day you help boost our giving levels helping those in need
Our £15/month - ‘Miss Giving’ group allows young people and others with limited income to join the giving circle
Email giveincgivingcircle@gmail.com or giving@communityfoundationni.org to set up a standing order and become a member.
Our ‘Quick Giving’ allows you to give a one-time donation of whatever amount you wish.
You can do that here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/giveincwomensfund
Some examples of our previous giving includes:
~ Support for women parenting alone, including with bills, bunk beds, sports club fees, and children’s presents.
~ Help with legal, admin, and other fees and costs, for marginalised women fleeing violence and different types of harms.
~ Flowers, chocolates, cards, clothes, make up, and pamper packs, for bereaved women, care experienced girls, and others, in need of a boost.
~ Assistance with the cost of training programmes and course materials for women and girls building their confidence, life skills, education and employability.
We also provide support for groups.
“Give Inc support with stock shelving was invaluable when we started out. It transformed our processes for delivery of toiletries to marginalised groups.” ~ Becky Bellamy, Another World Belfast CIC
