My final radio hit of the day is done, this month's invoicing has been emailed off, and another year of freelance journalism shenanigans is complete.
2021 has been challenging and traumatising for so many people. Our thoughts are with them, and hopes with a brighter 2022.
I am sure, like me, you are happy to be here, and surrounded by the people who love you. We are fortunate. If you are struggling please talk to someone.
I have been self-employed since day one of my career, and love it.
Between talking, writing, hosting, and more, this year has been eventful.
Over the last 12 months I worked for and with one news agency, six podcasts, eight newspapers, eight TV channels, 13 radio stations, and 15 other organisations, plus I did a fellowship on media representation, and developed this website: amanda.ie
So, thanks to all my clients, and subscribers, and to all the interviewees who trusted me, and all the listeners, viewers, readers, and online followers.

Let’s see what 2022 brings!
I am wishing you all good health and happiness.
For now I have short rib of beef and rosé fizz to enjoy tonight.
Have fun and stay safe, whatever you are doing.
